Precision-engineered extrusion components for long service life and consistent output
The JP-SB Series Screw and Barrel is a precision-engineered replacement and upgrade component set designed for single-screw extruders processing PVC, PE, PP, and engineering polymers. The screw geometry — flight depth, compression ratio, and L/D ratio — is matched to the specific polymer and process requirements: a PVC-optimised screw differs fundamentally from a polyolefin metering screw, and an incorrectly specified screw will consistently underperform regardless of barrel condition.
JP-SB components are manufactured from high-grade alloy steels with surface treatments matched to the material being processed. Standard nitrided steel screws and barrels provide excellent surface hardness for general-purpose polyolefin processing. Bimetallic barrels with centrifugally cast bore liners deliver superior abrasion and corrosion resistance for PVC and filled compound processing — extending service life by 3–5× compared to standard nitrided components under the same operating conditions.

Bimetallic barrels and nitrided screws for PVC cable extrusion — superior wear and corrosion resistance against PVC chlorine compounds, maintaining output consistency across extended production campaigns.
Nitrided screws with carefully designed compression ratios for cross-linkable polyethylene — maintains melt temperature uniformity to prevent premature crosslinking in the barrel before the die.
Hardened bimetallic barrels for highly filled or abrasive polymer compounds — calcium carbonate, talc, and glass fibre-filled materials that rapidly erode standard nitrided barrels.
Precision-ground screws for PVC pipe and profile extrusion — consistent metering zone depth ensures stable output pressure and melt temperature for dimensional consistency across long production runs.
Drop-in replacement for worn or damaged screws and barrels in existing extruders — manufactured to OEM dimensional standards with upgrade options for improved wear resistance or mixing performance.
